The Perfect Paint Tool

According to Men’s Health, about 5% of men are color blind. Men, in fact, are 10 times more likely than women to be colorblind. With this in mind, it can be tough for people possessing penises to pick paint. That’s why I was really happy to stumble across Sherwin-Williams Color Visualizer.
This is a really simple tool that is easy to use and is about as close to self-explanatory as a guy can ask for. It works like a simple Photoshop product where you upload the picture of your room, “mask” off your walls and windows and then drag and drop the colors from Sherwin Williams’ collection onto the walls. This program effectively allows my color-blind-brethren to have a trial and error period that doesn’t cost them $35 a gallon.

Above is a sample picture that comes inside of Color Visualizer. This image comes pre-masked so you can play around and avoid the lengthy masking process (It doesn’t have to take long, but like real masking, the more detailed you get the better.) After just a few seconds, you can do this —>

If that is not your particular taste, keep playing with it. I am personally partial to the darker earth tones, but there are options for people who like the lighter paints.

The tool is great because it gives you the numbers to bring directly to the store for you paint, and the complimentary colors to go along with it. It takes almost all of the guess work out of painting.

To say the least, if you are thinking of remodeling your ever-expanding man-cave, this is a must try tool.

(FULL DISCLOSURE: I am not being paid by Sherwin Williams or anyone else for that matter. Currently, I am still looking for the right person/company to sell out to. I will keep you informed when I finally do.)
